In innocence she ventured forth, a heart so pure and true,

Seeking love and empathy, in a world yet unexplored,

A girl with hope in every step, her spirit brightly hued,

Little did she know the trials her heart would soon afford.

Innocence, a fragile bloom, her soul an open book,

She gave her love so freely, like a babbling brook,

But the world, it wore a different face, a mask of shadows cold,

And as she learned its cruel embrace, her innocence grew old.

In tender years, she found delight, in laughter and in play,

With friends who shared her dreams and hopes, in the light of day,

Yet slowly, she began to see, the world’s unkind facade,

As those she thought were close to her, betrayed her trust, like fraud.

Through adolescence, she did grow, a heart now scarred and worn,

The lessons learned in tears and pain, a wisdom newly born,

For love, it came with thorns and snares, a treacherous terrain,

A girl once pure, now battle-worn, but still, she would remain.

She held onto her innocence, a flicker in the dark,

For though the world had let her down, she’d kindle every spark,

And though it seemed the world was cold, and love was but a game,

She’d never lose her gentle heart, her love forever the same.

So here’s to the girl who sought for love, in a world that can be cruel,

Whose innocence was tested, but her spirit stayed a jewel,

May she find the strength to carry on, and keep her love alight,

For in her pure and loving heart, the world will find its light.

In innocence’s quest, a truth she’d gleaned, That love, in cruelty, oft remained unseen,

She wondered if, in letting go’s embrace, A path to healing and true love she’d trace.

For in the letting go, could strength be found, To rise above the world’s unyielding ground,

To mend her heart and seek a brighter day, Where love and empathy could light her way.
